Materiality of the CSR Challenges

The CSR materiality matrix reflects the results of a survey conducted with our stakeholders. The priorities identified were quite clear and are directly related to the company’s business and activities (See below diagram, upper right zone). They can be seen in the risk map presented in the 2016 Registration Document. The 90 quantitative and qualitative indicators, that were put in place in 2008, enable us to adjust our action plans and measure the progress already achieved and that are to come.

The Talents, Clients, Society, in addition to the Ethics and Environment sections of the CSR Report, are now 100% digital and present a host of examples of initiatives and achievements illustrating our activities in these areas.

Performance of our CSR strategy

In 2016, Publicis Groupe’s CSR commitments have been recognised by the financial and CSR community. Having already belonged to the Ethibel Excellence registry Publicis Groupe has recently joined Euronext VigeoEiris and FTSE4Good, two indices devoted to sustainable development.
These results are directly related to the CSR strategy, which has been completely integrated and closely steered by the CSR Department as outlined in our code of ethics, “Janus”. This system is based on both internal verification (compliance, management control, internal auditing, risk committee, etc.), external independent assessments (audits and third-party verifications, client assessments and audits, research, etc.) and auditing processes.
