Summary and Scope of Position:
Responsibility is to provide day to day financial support on a corporate level. Scope of activity includes but is not limited to responsibilities related to the monthly General Ledger close. This includes preparation of various journal entries, the analysis of the agency’s financial statements, the preparation of variance analyses and reports, and the preparation of monthly schedules for reporting in HFM.

Analyst works independently and self analyzes their data and reports. The Analyst works to identify issues, develops POVs, and offers ideas to their manager that can drive results to meet and/or exceed targets and to create efficiencies. This position interacts with and builds relationships with agency staff at all levels.

Responsibilities:
Month End Close Process

  • Prepares various monthly journal entries in conformance to Publicis Company Policy (JANUS) and GAAP
  • Prepare journal entries based on review of account reconciliations
  • Prepares monthly revenue journal entries in conjunction with Client Reporting and ensures proper revenue recognition is in conformance to Publicis Company Policy and GAAP
  • Prepares monthly financial statements and related schedules for HFM reporting
  • Assist manager with preparing schedules for Balance Sheet and P&L review

Other

  • Prepares and analyzes various monthly schedules used for year-end tax preparations by ReSources Tax Dept.
  • Prepares job journals for client related reclasses
  • Assists Job Management team with project clean-up journal entries
  • Prepares imputed income analysis for use by ReSources Payroll Dept.
  • Participates in year end, interim and internal audits
  • Prepares daily bank deposits
  • Assist manager with special projects
  • Finance approval for invoices in LoadingDoc


Qualifications:
Education/ Work Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • 1 to 2 years relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially with higher level Excel functionalitKnowledge /Skills

 Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a wide range of people
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; must be a self-starter
