SUPERVISORY BOARD

The Supervisory Board consists of 13 members (including two members representing employees), and is carefully balanced in terms of its composition. There are six women and six men, eight independent members and eight members of foreign nationality. Publicis Groupe was one of the first groups to ensure male / female parity in its Supervisory Board.

        Maurice Lévy is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicis Groupe, the leader in business, marketing and communications transformation. He joined Publicis in 1971 as IT Director, and was appointed CEO of Publicis Conseil, the Groupe's flagship agency, in 1981. He was named CEO of Publicis Groupe in 1987, a role that he fulfilled for 30 years until being named Chairman of the Supervisory Board as of June 1, 2017. He was responsible for transforming Publicis from a great, French creative agency into a global leader, covering all segments of the advertising industry. With spectacular acquisitions such as Saatchi & Saatchi, Bcom3 (Leo Burnett, Starcom, Mediavest) Zenith or in the digital space with Digitas, Performics, Razorfish, Rosetta and Sapient, today Publicis represents more than 98,000 talents, and is present in more than 100 countries.
        In 2016, to celebrate Publicis Groupe’s 90th anniversary, Maurice Lévy was determined to look to the future rather than the past, keeping in line with Publicis’ pioneering spirit. The result was two initiatives – Publicis90, through which Publicis Groupe invested in 90 promising startups and Viva Technology Paris, a global event dedicated to the collaboration between large companies and startups.
        Widely recognized as a leading figure in the communications industry, Mr. Lévy also co-founded the French Brain Institute (ICM) in 2005, and serves as the Chairman of the board for several entities, including the International Board of Governors for the Peres Center for Peace. In 2015, he was appointed Chairman of the Pasteur-Weizmann Institute. Mr. Lévy has been honored with numerous distinctions and accolades for his contributions to media, business leadership, tolerance and peace. Mr. Lévy holds the distinctions of Commandeur of the French Légion d’Honneur and Grand Officier of the Ordre National du Mérite.

        Daughter of Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet—the founder of Publicis—Ms. Badinter is a philosopher. The author of numerous books, she has taught at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris. She joined the Supervisory Board in 1987 and was its Chair from 1996 to 2017.

        Son of Élisabeth Badinter, Simon Badinter has successively served as Director of International Development (1996), member of the Management Board (1999-2013)and Chair (2003-2011) of Médias et Régies Europe, as well as Chair of Médias Regies America until 2013. Simon Badinter was in turn radio host of his show “The Rendezvous”, broadcast in 50 cities in the United States by Iheartradio and then, from 2017, volunteer coach for youth in detention in Ohio, a program which was extended to Kentucky and Pennsylvania in 2023, and a volunteer organizer of the Sing for Life program at the Akron Children's Hospital Behavorial Department in Ohio. In December 2022, the Ohio State Association of Juvenile Court Judges awarded him the Court Service Award in recognition of his overall work with troubled youth and service to the court system. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Médiavision et Jean Mineur.

        A lawyer by training, Jean Charest was first elected to the House of Commons of Canada in 1984. At age 28, he became the youngest member of the cabinet in Canada's history when he was appointed Minister of State for Youth. He has also served as Environment Minister (leading Canada's delegation to the 1992 Rio Earth Summit), Industry Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister. He was Premier of Quebec from 2003 to 2012. He is currently a partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP and a member of the Queen's Privy Council for Canada.

After several years in the sector of Public Relations, Sophie Dulac, graduated in psychographology, pursued her career as the founder and managing director of a recruitment consultancy. Since 2001, she heads film exhibition company Les Ecrans de Paris.
        She also manages film production and distribution companies Sophie Dulac Productions and Sophie Dulac Distribution.

        Tom H. Glocer, born in 1959, American citizen, is the founder and managing partner of Angelic Ventures, LP, a family office focusing on early stage investments in financial technology, cyber defense and healthcare. Tom H. Glocer was named CEO of Reuters in 2001 and then from April 2008 through December 2011, Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Reuters Corp., the leading news and professional information provider formed upon the acquisition of Reuters by Thomson.
        Prior to joining Reuters in 1993, Tom H. Glocer was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, Paris and Tokyo. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1984, the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 2010, and the American Law Institute in 2011.
        Tom H. Glocer is a member of several boards including Merck & Co., Inc., Morgan Stanley, the Council on Foreign Relations. He is also, among other positions, member of the President ’s Council on International Activities at Yale University, the European Business Leaders Council, the Columbia Global Center (Paris) Advisory Board and the International Advisory Group of Linklaters LLP.
        He is a former member of several committees and councils including International Advisory Board of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Tsinghua University Advisory Board, the International Business Council of the World Economic Forum, the New York City Partnership, Business in the Community (London), the Columbia College Board of Visitors, the Advisory Board of the Judge Institute of Management at Cambridge University.
        Tom H. Glocer holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University (1981) and a J.D. from Yale Law School (1984). He is married with two children and lives in New York City.

        Born in 1960, Swiss citizen, André Kudelski is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Kudelski Group, a leading technology company listed on the Swiss Stock Exchange. Kudelski Group is a global leader in digital security and convergent media solutions for the delivery of digital and interactive content, enabling the implementation of high added value services.
        André Kudelski started his career in 1984 as a Research and Development engineer at Kudelski S.A. In 1989, he became Managing Director of Nagravision, the pay-TV division of Kudelski. In 1991, he succeeded his father to the position of Chairman and CEO.
        André Kudelski is member of several boards including HSBC Private Banking Holdings (Switzerland). He is also Vice- Chairman of both the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce and of Aéroport International de Genève; member of the Strategic Advisory Board and Board of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and of the Swiss Economy Committee.
        He also sits on the Board of Directors of Nestlé, Dassault Systèmes and Edipresse SA.
        Throughout his career, André Kudelski has received numerous awards including the title of “Global Leader for Tomorrow” by the World Economic Forum in 1995 and an Emmy® Award from the US National Academy of Arts and Sciences for achievements in the area of pay TV conditional access and scrambling systems.
        André Kudelski is a physics engineer graduated from the Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne, renowned expert in electronic security and encryption systems for pay-TV.

        Suzan LeVine, born in 1969, American citizen, most recently served as the Acting Assistant Secretary in the Employment and Training Administration at the United States Department of Labor at the outset of the Biden administration. Prior to that, she as Commissioner, she led the Washington state Employment Security Department under Governor Jay Inslee.. This position followed her service as United States Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein from 2014-2017. Her passion for the future of work and for diversity, equity, accessibility and inclusion is reflected in her participation, on the boards of CareerWise USA, Research Improving People’s Lives (RIPL) and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. Her previous positions focused on education, technology, community, innovation, travel, social responsibility, and youth outreach. She’s worked at Microsoft as a Director of Communications for Education and Student Developer Strategic Partnerships and at Expedia as a Vice President for Sales and Marketing in Luxury Travel and co-founded two non-profit organizations – an innovative Jewish community model, The Kavana Cooperative, and an advisory board for the Institute for Learning and Brain Sciences (ILABS) at the University of Washington. Suzi is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering with aerospace applications. She and her husband have two children and live in Seattle, Washington.

        Born on May 17, 1958, of Italian nationality, Antonella Mei-Pochtler is a Senior Leader with extensive experience in the Consumer, Media&Technology sectors. She has held key leadership positions within The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) at European and global level and has focussed her activities on Digital Transformation, Strategy and Organization.
        Named a Top 25 Global Consultant by Consulting magazine, she was awarded the Women Leaders in Consulting Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 .
        She is involved in a wide range of activities and social causes, especially on educational equity. She serves as Deputy Chairwoman of Westwing AG, on the Board of DKMS and Teach For All. She is also a cofounder of BCG’s education project Business@School, for which she earned the German president’s Freedom and Responsibility Award in 2002.
        For more than twenty years, she has organized the Brand Club, a top branding and media- focused conference for CEOs in Germany. She is currently the Head of ThinkAustria, the Strategy & Planning Unit of the Federal Chancellor of Austria.

        Pierre Pénicaud obtained a diploma in Applied Arts from l’École Estienne and joined Publicis Conseil in 1989 as an assistant in the Artistic Department. He became Artistic Director in 1994 and started the “L’Esprit Bière” saga for Heineken, which he would go on to develop over 13 years. With his work for Perrier, he became senior Artistic Director in 2000. Since 2011, he has been member and secretary of the Publicis Conseil CHSCT (Health and Safety Committee) as well as full member of the Works Council, and since October 2017, deputy member.

        Carla Serrano is the Chief Strategy Officer of Publicis Groupe and acting Chief Executive Officer of Publicis New York. In her current role, she draws on her background in strategy, integration and leadership to incorporate transformative thinking in all aspects of Groupe agency operations and in service of the Groupe’s clients and businesses.
        Carla has spent most of her career in strategic planning across a variety of advertising agencies big and small, like TBWA Chiat/Day, BBDO, Berlin Cameron & Partners and Naked. She has worked on many global iconic brands including Apple, CocaCola, Samsung, Pfizer and Nissan.
        Throughout her career, Carla has helped develop a number of strategic integration practices in pace with the digitally-led changes of the industry. She revels in change and is passionate about driving seamless strategic innovation in service of transformative business solutions.

        In his current dual role, Dave Penski leads Publicis Media’s agency brands and capabilities across the US and maintains oversight of its global investment arm, Publicis Media Exchange (PMX). He also serves as a member of Publicis Groupe’s US ComEx, where he plays a key role in driving growth across the network.
        A Publicis veteran for more than two decades, Penski was previously Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Media US, managing operations across all media practices spanning PMX, Precision, Apex and CJ Affiliate, as well as disciplines dedicated to partnerships and performance. As a leader, innovator and trusted partner to today’s top advertisers, he also helped secure some of Publicis Media’s most notable new business wins, including Disney, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and GSK, to name a few.
        Prior to that, Penski was CEO of PMX globally for four years, spearheading investment strategies on behalf of the network and ensuring every client across Publicis Media’s global brands received the best possible service and return on investment.
        Throughout his tenure at Publicis Media, Penski has made it his mission to foster a robust and enriching environment for all employees. He is responsible for creating a number of best-in-class initiatives, including Vision for Excellence, Zenith Gives Back and the Media Trainee Program, which creates a sturdy pipeline of diverse entry-level talent for Publicis Media and its agencies.
        Penski’s dedicated hard work goes far beyond the office. As an active Board Member of the Binghamton School of Management, Penski mentors students looking to break into the business world and received the Binghamton School of Management Alumni Award in 2015. He was honored by Young Audiences New York, a non-profit organization that supports arts education programs for NYC public schools, at their annual gala in 2016; is a supporter of Partnership with Children, a NYC-based philanthropy that provides critical mental health services for students and their families; and has provided pro-bono media support for the Autism Speaks organization.

He is responsible for driving forward the company’s vision of partnering with clients to ensure they are successful at reimagining and transforming their business for the digital age.
        He has held a variety of leadership positions with Sapient prior to its acquisition by Publicis Groupe, where he now serves as a member of its Executive Committee, charged with identifying opportunities to help clients drive growth and efficiency and evolve the ways they work in a world where consumer behavior and technology are catalyzing social and commercial change at an unprecedented pace.
        Nigel’s roots are in business strategy and technology, where he has consistently helped clients to build businesses and create sustainable value propositions for their brands by operating at the intersection of strategic thinking, creativity and technology. Prior to Sapient, he was a successful entrepreneur – co-founding a public company with interests in telecoms, consulting and connectivity solutions. He has also been a key advisor for a number of companies including AT&T/Cingular, McKinsey and Company, Orange, Siemens, Telkom SA, Verizon Wireless and Vodafone.
        As part of Sapient’s executive leadership team, he drove the evolution of the European business and helped to build Sapient into one of the largest digital professional services companies in the UK from a start-up in the space of a decade, including its expansion beyond the UK to be a significant presence in Europe. He went on to lead the Sapient business in EMEA and APAC and its evolution to SapientNitro, as well as playing a key role in the successful integration of Razorfish to create SapientRazorfish within the Publicis Sapient digital business transformation hub.
        In his current role leading a business with expertise spanning technology, data sciences, consulting and creative, Nigel acts as strategic advisor on complex transformation initiatives that accelerate the businesses of clients including Lloyds Banking Group, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, M&S and Unilever.
        Nigel is President-elect of the IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising) and a board director of The Marketing Society. He is an inductee of the BIMA Digital Hall of Fame (British Interactive Marketing Association).

        Agathe Bousquet joined Publicis Groupe as the President of Publicis Groupe in France in 2017.
        She began her career in the non-profit sector with Solidarité Sida (association supporting AIDS patients) and played an active role in launching the association’s music festival, Solidays. In 2001, she joined the Havas Group where she held several different roles before being appointed to take the lead of the agency Havas Paris as President in 2012.
        In April 2017, Maurice Lévy, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicis Groupe, and Arthur Sadoun, Chairman & CEO, convinced Agathe to join the Groupe in the newly created role of President of Publicis Groupe in France. In this capacity, she oversees all of the Groupe’s agencies in France, grouped into four Solutions: creative with Publicis Communications, media with Publicis Media, Digital Business Transformation with Publicis.Sapient and health & wellness communications with Publicis Health.
        She is responsible for accelerating the dynamic of The Power of One by driving collaboration among Publicis’ 4,000 talents in France, to position the Groupe as the strategic partner for its clients in their transformation. The results of this were visible early on, with the renewal of clients’ trust in Publicis Groupe and the addition of several new accounts.

      • Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner

        Anne-Gabrielle Heilbronner is a Member of the Directoire (Management Board) and Secretary General of Publicis Groupe. She oversees legal affairs, human resources, procurement, governance, compliance, internal audit, risk management as well as CSR and The Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society. A former member of the Inspection Générale des Finances and an alumna of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA), she is also a graduate of Paris business school ESCP and of Sciences Po and holds a postgraduate degree in Law. After holding positions at the French Treasury and in a number of ministerial cabinets, including at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she worked at Euris/Rallye, at the SNCF and as a Senior Banker at Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking.

        Loris joined Publicis Groupe in 2003. Initially based in Paris, he started as Vice-President, focusing on Mergers & Acquisitions and a number of strategic initiatives. In 2010, he was named Executive Vice-President in charge of Emerging Markets at Publicis Worldwide. In this role, he supervised South East Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Israel, Turkey, Latin America, CEE and the Nordics.
In 2013, he relocated to Singapore and was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Publicis Worldwide for Asia Pacific, Africa, Israel and Turkey.
In 2016, he was appointed Global Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Communications. In this capacity, he managed Publicis Worldwide, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, MSL, Nurun and Prodigious across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
In 2017, he was appointed CEO of Publicis Groupe, APAC & MEA. He oversees all of Publicis Groupe‘s operations across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa markets, from Publicis Communications, to Publicis Media, Publicis.Sapient and Publicis Health.
        In February 2024, Loris was appointed CFO Publicis Groupe.
Prior to joining Publicis Groupe, Loris was a Vice-President with Lehman Brothers’ investment banking division in New York. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University. He is married, with two daughters and lives in Singapore.

        Arthur Sadoun, 52, is Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe, the world’s second largest communications group.
        Arthur began his career in Chile, founding his own advertising agency which he later sold to BBDO/ Chile.
        Returning to France in 1997, he joined the TBWA network (Omnicom Group) as International Director of Strategic Planning and was appointed CEO of TBWA/Paris in 2003. Under his management and for four consecutive years, TBWA/Paris received the ‘Agency of the Year’ award at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
        At the end of 2006, Arthur Sadoun was named CEO of Publicis Conseil, the flagship agency of Publicis Groupe founded by Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet and previously presided over by Maurice Lévy.
        In April 2011, he was appointed Managing Director of Publicis Worldwide, the global network of Publicis creative agencies, before being named Chief Executive Officer of the network in October 2013. In December 2015, he was named CEO of Publicis Communications, Publicis Groupe’s creative hub comprising Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Worldwide, BBH, MSLGROUP and Prodigious networks.
        Arthur became Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe on June 1, 2017, making him the 3rd leader of the Groupe in its 91-year history, following in the footsteps of Maurice Lévy, and founder Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet.
        Arthur graduated from the European Business School and holds an MBA from INSEAD.

      • Emmanuel André

        Emmanuel André joined Publicis Groupe in September 2017 as Chief Talent Officer, covering the key areas of organization, leadership, development, top talent recruitment and the culture at large.
        Emmanuel began his career in Paris at BDDP, where he followed a path in account servicing that lead him to handle new business and global clients. Emmanuel later moved to New York to join TBWA-Worldwide as Chief of Staff for three years, before heading to Hong Kong to become Regional Director of TBWA-Asia Pacific.
        In 2008, he returned to New York to become Chief Operating Officer for the TBWA collective. As COO, Emmanuel developed TBWA’s global offering, setting up new capabilities and the new edition of TBWA’s core methodology, Disruption®. He was named President International in 2012 to focus on the network’s “people” strategy.

        Gerry Boyle is the Chief Executive Officer - Asia Pacific & EMEA, Publicis Media.
        He first joined Publicis Groupe in 1994, starting out in Leo Burnett’s media department. In 1997, he joined the strategy company, Michaelides & Bednash, which was in the vanguard of the new breed of media communications agencies in the United Kingdom.
        Gerry joined Zenith Media in August 1999 as Communications Director with responsibility for bringing a greater level of consumer insight and qualitative understanding to clients’ business, and building the strategic planning proposition. Gerry was promoted to Managing Director in 2003 and then to Chief Executive in 2006, after he completed a Diploma at the London Business School. In August 2013, Gerry took on the role of Global Managing Partner and Chairman of Zenith Asia Pacific and was named Chief Executive Officer of Publicis Media Asia Pacific & EMEA in 2018.

        Andrew Bruce is CEO of Publicis Communications North America. In this role, he oversees all Publicis Groupe creative agencies in North America, including Publicis, Saatchi & Saatchi, Fallon, Leo Burnett, MSL and Prodigious.         Previously, Andrew was President & CEO of Publicis Canada. He joined Publicis Toronto in 1999. What followed were 14 consecutive years of growth. In 2016, he was appointed Global Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Communications. In this capacity, he managed Publicis Worldwide, Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, MSL, Nurun and Prodigious across Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
In 2017, he was appointed CEO of Publicis Groupe, APAC & MEA. He oversees all of Publicis Groupe‘s operations across the Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa markets, from Publicis Communications, to Publicis Media, Publicis.Sapient and Publicis Health.
        In February 2024, Loris was appointed CFO Publicis Groupe.
Prior to joining Publicis Groupe, Loris was a Vice-President with Lehman Brothers’ investment banking division in New York. He holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University. He is married, with two daughters and lives in Singapore.

        In his current dual role, Dave Penski leads Publicis Media’s agency brands and capabilities across the US and maintains oversight of its global investment arm, Publicis Media Exchange (PMX). He also serves as a member of Publicis Groupe’s US ComEx, where he plays a key role in driving growth across the network.
        A Publicis veteran for more than two decades, Penski was previously Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Media US, managing operations across all media practices spanning PMX, Precision, Apex and CJ Affiliate, as well as disciplines dedicated to partnerships and performance. As a leader, innovator and trusted partner to today’s top advertisers, he also helped secure some of Publicis Media’s most notable new business wins, including Disney, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and GSK, to name a few.
        Prior to that, Penski was CEO of PMX globally for four years, spearheading investment strategies on behalf of the network and ensuring every client across Publicis Media’s global brands received the best possible service and return on investment.
        Throughout his tenure at Publicis Media, Penski has made it his mission to foster a robust and enriching environment for all employees. He is responsible for creating a number of best-in-class initiatives, including Vision for Excellence, Zenith Gives Back and the Media Trainee Program, which creates a sturdy pipeline of diverse entry-level talent for Publicis Media and its agencies.

        Nigel’s roots are in business strategy and technology, where he has consistently helped clients to build businesses and create sustainable value propositions for their brands by operating at the intersection of strategic thinking, creativity and technology. Prior to Sapient, he was a successful entrepreneur – co-founding a public company with interests in telecoms, consulting and connectivity solutions. He has also been a key advisor for a number of companies including AT&T/Cingular, McKinsey and Company, Orange, Siemens, Telkom SA, Verizon Wireless and Vodafone.
        As part of Sapient’s executive leadership team, he drove the evolution of the European business and helped to build Sapient into one of the largest digital professional services companies in the UK from a start-up in the space of a decade, including its expansion beyond the UK to be a significant presence in Europe.         Arthur Sadoun, 52, is Chairman & CEO of Publicis Groupe, the world’s second largest communications group. Arthur began his career in Chile, founding his own advertising agency which he later sold to BBDO/ Chile.
        Returning to France in 1997, he joined the TBWA network (Omnicom Group) as International Director of Strategic Planning and was appointed CEO of TBWA/Paris in 2003. Under his management and for four consecutive years, TBWA/Paris received the ‘Agency of the Year’ award at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
        At the end of 2006, Arthur Sadoun was named CEO of Publicis Conseil, the flagship agency of Publicis Groupe founded by Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet and previously presided over by Maurice Lévy.
        In April 2011, he was appointed Managing Director of Publicis Worldwide, the global network of Publicis creative agencies, before being named Chief Executive Officer of the network in October 2013. In December 2015, he was named CEO of Publicis Communications, Publicis Groupe’s creative hub comprising Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis Worldwide, BBH, MSLGROUP and Prodigious networks.
        Arthur became Chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe on June 1, 2017, making him the 3rd leader of the Groupe in its 91-year history, following in the footsteps of Maurice Lévy, and founder Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet.
        Arthur graduated from the European Business School and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
